On living RIGHT

Proverbs 10:9

King James Version

9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:

but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

Satan knows how to corrupt us.

We live in the flesh, we sin in the flesh, we die in the flesh.

Our flesh makes us desire the forbidden.

Our human weakness makes us sin continually.

Our lame excuses make us sin carelessly.

Our unbelieving hearts cause us to err greatly.

GOD grieved over man's wickedness.

Genesis 6:5-7

King James Version

5 And God saw

that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,

and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart

was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord

that he had made man on the earth,

and it grieved him at his heart.

That's why He sent the flood.

Genesis 6:7

King James Version

7 And the Lord said,

I will destroy man whom I have created

from the face of the earth;

both man, and beast,

and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air;

for it repenteth me that I have made them.

But man continues to sin.

The god of this world continues to seduce us.

With things of the world, things of the flesh.

With delectable dishes, to entice, and destroy us.

Knowing man is but flesh.

He will succumb.

Especially if he is not of GOD.

One of Satan's greatest tools is women.

If you know your Bible, you'll notice something.

Satan didn't directly tempt Adam.

(For Adam is a direct creation of GOD.)

He got him, THROUGH Eve.

Such is the deceiver's way.

Careful not to directly "cross" the LORD.

And yet getting the wrong done.

Perversely, and pervertedly, as always.

Only thing is, he was defeated at the CROSS.

And he is mighty "cross", and vengeful.

Today, man's downfall will be the same way.

THROUGH woman.

For woman is man's weakness.

But the reverse is also true.

Woman's downfall can be men.

For man is also woman's weakness.

You only need to look at all the glitter, and glamour, women need to attract men.

It's created huge industries that feed on vanity, and seduction.

And now, it gets even more perverse.

What with all the new gender combinations created.

We are really all in danger of GOD's judgment.

People whose heart is not right with GOD, will be used by Satan.

Making sure man* is destroyed.

Especially if you're a praying man.

A family man.

A man who wants to do right by the LORD.

A man who gave your heart to JESUS.

Or a man who is just getting to know the WORD of GOD.

Or a man just newly coming into wealth, power, or fame.

You will be Satan's favorite targets.

He will seduce you with his choicest morsels.

He knows EXACTLY what "dish" to serve you.

You need only look to art, business, culture, entertainment, industries, and government to know how CHRIST's enemy operates.

Every sin is covered.

Every seduction is offered.

Every resistance is clobbered.

That's why JESUS said:

Mark 7:20-21

King James Version

20 And he said,

That which cometh out of the man,

that defileth the man.

21 For from within, out of the heart of men,

proceed evil thoughts,

adulteries, fornications, murders,

That's why the Bible cautions:

Proverbs 6:20-22

King James Version

20 My son, keep thy father's commandment,

and forsake not the law of thy mother:

21 Bind them continually upon thine heart,

and tie them about thy neck.

22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee;

when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee;

and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

Proverbs 6:23-24

King James Version

23 For the commandment is a lamp;

and the law is light;

and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

24 To keep thee from the evil woman,

from the flattery of the tongue

of a strange woman.

Proverbs 6:25-26

King James Version

25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart;

neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

26 For by means of a whorish woman

a man is brought to a piece of bread:

and the adultress will hunt

for the precious life.

Proverbs 6:27-31

King James Version

27 Can a man take fire in his bosom,

and his clothes not be burned?

28 Can one go upon hot coals,

and his feet not be burned?

29 So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife;

whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

30 Men do not despise a thief,

if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;

31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold;

he shall give all the substance of his house.

Proverbs 6:32-35

King James Version

32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman

lacketh understanding:

he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

33 A wound and dishonour shall he get;

and his reproach shall not be wiped away.

34 For jealousy is the rage of a man:

therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

35 He will not regard any ransom;

neither will he rest content,

though thou givest many gifts.

Ephesians 5:11-12

King James Version

11 And have no fellowship

with the unfruitful works of darkness,

but rather reprove them.

12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things

which are done of them in secret.

Ephesians 5:14-16

King James Version

14 Wherefore he saith,

Awake thou that sleepest,

and arise from the dead,

and Christ shall give thee light.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly,

not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time,

because the days are evil.

Let our prayer to GOD be:

Psalm 119:133

King James Version

133 Order my steps in thy word:

and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Let our actions be:

John 3:5-8

King James Version

5 Jesus answered,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth,

and thou hearest the sound thereof,

but canst not tell whence it cometh,

and whither it goeth:

so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:18

King James Version

18 Flee fornication.

Every sin that a man doeth is without the body;

but he that committeth fornication

sinneth against his own body.

James 4:7

King James Version

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

To be born again means we aim to lead sinless lives.

Sure, our hearts, minds, and bodies are sin in nature.

But we have GOD to obey.

We have JESUS to follow.

We have SPIRIT to teach us.

We have Scripture to live by.

There is no more excuse to sin.

Unless we don't care about GOD, self, and others.

Being born again means you care not to offend the LORD, in any way.

Neither will you think of causing harm upon others.

No one really lives in isolation.

We don't live apart from others.

All our lives are interconnected.

When we sin, we also bring others down with us.

We can also cause the downfall of others.

We break up homes, families, communities.

Including governments, societies, and nations.

Sin's "influence" can be far reaching.

Won't causing others to sin be a greater sin?

Romans 14:13

King James Version

13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more:

but judge this rather,

that no man put a stumblingblock

or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

That's the whole idea of sin.

Satan wants EVERYTHING destroyed.

Especially that which is dear to GOD's heart.

Expect a web of deceit, distraction, and destruction from the enemy.

Being born again means you're aware of sin.

You are aware of the LORD's commands.

SPIRIT wakes you up, causing you to walk in His ways.

That must be our objective now.

Especially in these last days.

Stay right with GOD now.

*NOTE:

For those wondering, or even taking offense at the fact we use the word "man", let GOD's WORD tell us why we ought to:

Genesis 5:1-2

King James Version

5 This is the book of the generations of Adam.

In the day that God created man,

in the likeness of God made he him;

2 Male and female created he them;

and blessed them,

and called their name Adam,

in the day when they were created.

GOD called male and female, "Adam".

I accept ALL of GOD's statutes, and so should you.

As born again workman, I am here to present you GOD's WORD.

The soonest we accept GOD's TRUTH, the better for our souls.

GOD's will be done.

Isaiah 46:9-10

King James Version

9 Remember the former things of old:

for I am God, and there is none else;

I am God, and there is none like me,

10 Declaring the end from the beginning,

and from ancient times

the things that are not yet done,

saying,

My counsel shall stand,

and I will do all my pleasure:

How are WIDOWS to be?

1 Timothy 5:3

King James Version

3 Honour widows

that are widows indeed.

How must widows live?

How are they to conduct themselves?

These we came to know.

From SPIRIT and Scripture:

1 Timothy 5:4

King James Version

4 But if any widow have children or nephews,

let them learn first to shew piety at home,

and to requite* their parents:

for that is good and acceptable before God.

1 Timothy 5:5

King James Version

5 Now she that is a widow indeed,

and desolate**,

trusteth in God,

and continueth in supplications and prayers

night and day.

In SUMMARY, widows must:

learn first to shew piety at home

requite* their parents

be desolate**

trusteth in God

continueth in supplications and prayers night and day

*What does "requite" mean?

We turn to three Bible versions for clarity:

1 Timothy 5:4

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, see to it that these are first made to understand that it is their religious duty [to defray their natural obligation to those] at home, and make return to their parents or grandparents [for all their care by contributing to their maintenance], for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

1 Timothy 5:4

Easy-to-Read Version

4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, the first thing they need to learn is this: to show their devotion to God by taking care of their own family. They will be repaying their parents, and this pleases God.

1 Timothy 5:4

Expanded Bible

4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to ·do their duty to [or practice their piety/godliness toward] their own ·family [household] and to repay their parents or grandparents. [L For] That pleases God.

**What does "desolate" mean?

Someone left all alone, living by herself.

She must TRUST in GOD.

What not to be:

1 Timothy 5:6

King James Version

6 But she that liveth in pleasure

is dead while she liveth.

The objective?

1 Timothy 5:7

King James Version

7 And these things give in charge,

that they may be blameless.

BORN AGAIN walk

Galatians 2:20

King James Version

20 I am crucified with Christ:

nevertheless I live;

yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:

and the life which I now live in the flesh

I live by the faith of the Son of God,

who loved me,

and gave himself for me.

How does a born again walk?

What makes our steps distinct from the world?

What powers every "step"?

We walk with CHRIST.

We don't strut our stuff.

We don't have "stuff".

We are in total obedience to the LORD.

This is how we walk:

2 Corinthians 5:7

King James Version

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Galatians 5:16

King James Version

16 This I say then,

Walk in the Spirit,

and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:25

King James Version

25 If we live in the Spirit,

let us also walk in the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:10

King James Version

10 For we are his workmanship,

created in Christ Jesus unto good works,

which God hath before ordained

that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 4:1-3

King James Version

4 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord,

beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation

wherewith ye are called,

2 With all lowliness and meekness,

with longsuffering,

forbearing one another in love;

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit

in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 5:2

King James Version

2 And walk in love,

as Christ also hath loved us,

and hath given himself for us

an offering and a sacrifice to God

for a sweetsmelling savour.

Ephesians 5:8

King James Version

8 For ye were sometimes darkness,

but now are ye light in the Lord:

walk as children of light:

Ephesians 5:15-16

King James Version

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly,

not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time,

because the days are evil.

1 John 2:6

King James Version

6 He that saith he abideth in him

ought himself also so to walk,

even as he walked.

3 John 3-4

King James Version

3 For I rejoiced greatly,

when the brethren came

and testified of the truth that is in thee,

even as thou walkest in the truth.

4 I have no greater joy than to hear

that my children walk in truth.

In SUMMARY, here's the "born again walk":

walk by faith

Walk in the Spirit

walk unto good works, as ordained by God

walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called

walk in love

walk as children of light

walk circumspectly -- as wise

walk as Christ did

walk in truth

PURE for GOD

1 Thessalonians 5:23

King James Version

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;

and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body

be preserved blameless

unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What does it mean to be "pure" for GOD?

Why must we be pure?

What does the Bible say?

For easy reference, we wrote these:

MIND

BODY

SPIRIT

SOUL

It's wonderful being born again.

Following the LORD's commands becomes easy.

Thanks to the HOLY SPIRIT who teaches us.

A result of our prayers to JESUS.

It is fun obeying the LORD.

1 John 5:3

King James Version

3 For this is the love of God,

that we keep his commandments:

and his commandments are not grievous.

For our strength is in CHRIST.

Philippians 4:13

King James Version

13 I can do all things through Christ

which strengtheneth me.

The SIXTH day

 Genesis 1:31

King James Version

31 And God saw every thing that he had made,

and, behold,

it was very good.

 And the evening and the morning

were the sixth day.

GOD created man on the sixth day.

It's time we understood the sequence of events.

How GOD created man, why He did, what was expected of man, and what happened after the fall.

Let's turn to the Bible for clarity.

BEFORE the fall:

Genesis 1:26-27

King James Version

26 And God said,

Let us make man in our image,

after our likeness:

and let them have dominion

over the fish of the sea,

and over the fowl of the air,

and over the cattle,

and over all the earth,

and over every creeping thing

that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God created he him;

male and female created he them.

Genesis 1:28

King James Version

28 And God blessed them,

and God said unto them,

Be fruitful, and multiply,

and replenish the earth, and subdue it:

and have dominion over the fish of the sea,

and over the fowl of the air,

and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:7

King James Version

7 And the Lord God formed man

of the dust of the ground,

and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;

and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:8

King James Version

8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden;

and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Genesis 2:15

King James Version

15 And the Lord God took the man,

and put him into the garden of Eden

to dress it and to keep it.

Genesis 2:18

King James Version

18 And the Lord God said,

It is not good that the man should be alone;

I will make him an help meet for him.

Genesis 2:19-20

King James Version

19 And out of the ground

the Lord God formed every beast of the field,

and every fowl of the air;

and brought them unto Adam

to see what he would call them:

and whatsoever Adam called every living creature,

that was the name thereof.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle,

and to the fowl of the air,

and to every beast of the field;

but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Genesis 2:21-22

King James Version

21 And the Lord God

caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam,

and he slept:

and he took one of his ribs,

and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib,

which the Lord God had taken from man,

made he a woman,

and brought her unto the man.

Genesis 2:23

King James Version

23 And Adam said,

This is now bone of my bones,

and flesh of my flesh:

she shall be called Woman,

because she was taken out of Man.

Genesis 2:24

King James Version

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother,

and shall cleave unto his wife:

and they shall be one flesh.

AFTER the fall:

Genesis 3:13

King James Version

13 And the Lord God said unto the woman,

What is this that thou hast done?

And the woman said,

The serpent beguiled me,

and I did eat.

Genesis 3:16

King James Version

16 Unto the woman he said,

 I will greatly multiply thy sorrow

and thy conception;

in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children;

and thy desire shall be to thy husband,

and he shall rule over thee.

Genesis 3:17-19

King James Version

17 And unto Adam he said,

Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife,

and hast eaten of the tree,

of which I commanded thee, saying,

Thou shalt not eat of it:

cursed is the ground for thy sake;

in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee;

and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread,

till thou return unto the ground;

for out of it wast thou taken:

for dust thou art,

and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 3:20

King James Version

20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve;

because she was the mother of all living.

An important thing to remember:

Genesis 5:1-2

King James Version

5 This is the book of the generations of Adam.

In the day that God created man,

in the likeness of God made he him;

2 Male and female created he them;

and blessed them,

and called their name Adam,

in the day when they were created.

GENESIS is the foundation for everything about man, and woman.

Have we honored this?

Do we believe this?

As born again, I believe it why my whole heart.

That's why I'm posting it here.

Next post focuses on how men and women are to treat each other, according to Scripture.

Loving GOD's precepts

 Psalm 119:128

King James Version

128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts

concerning all things to be right;

and I hate every false way.

I know it's pretty self-explanatory.

Still, I search the Bible, for what "precepts" mean.

As born again workman, and writer, I love word study.

It's a way to get things right about GOD's WORD.

Here's what Bible versions say about "precepts":

Psalm 119:128

Contemporary English Version

128 I follow all your commands,[a]

but I hate anyone

    who leads me astray.

Psalm 119:128

GOD’S WORD Translation

128 I follow the straight paths of your guiding principles.

I hate every pathway that leads to lying.

Psalm 119:128

Good News Translation

128 And so I follow all your instructions;[a]

    I hate all wrong ways.

Psalm 119:128

International Children’s Bible

128 I respect all your orders.

    So I hate lying ways.

Psalm 119:128

Living Bible

128 Every law of God is right, whatever it concerns. I hate every other way.

Psalm 119:128

New Catholic Bible

128 That is why I regard all your commandments as right

    and despise every way that is false.

Psalm 119:128

New International Reader's Version

128 I consider all your rules to be right.

    So I hate every path that sinners take.

Psalm 119:128

New Life Version

128 And so I look upon all of Your Law as right. I hate every false way.

Tehillim 119:128

Orthodox Jewish Bible

128 Therefore I esteem right all Thy pikkudim concerning all things; and I hate every orakh sheker. PEH

Psalm 119:128

The Voice

128 It’s true that I regard all Your guidance to be correct and good;

    I despise every deceptive path.

In SUMMARY, "precepts" mean:

commands

guiding principles

instructions

orders

law

commandments

rules

Law

pikkudim

guidance
